Skateboarding originated in the 50’s by Californians as a way for surfers to cruise the streets when there were no waves. The first skateboards were made with roller-skate wheels mounted to 2x4’s. Since then, the focus of skateboard innovation has been towards creating the best “trick” board. That is where the focus has been and remained until about the year 2005. Now, innovation in skateboards is moving towards commuter boards. Skateboards have become longer and more stable for ease of transportation. These relatively new boards have been termed long boards. At BriefSkate, we have sought every way to enhance this new mode of transportation by adding a revolutionary utilitarian purpose.
